I
am having problems programming my car on board remote.
Please
go to http://www.homelink.com/program.php and click on: I can't program my HomeLink and follow instructions.
My
door will not close or only closes part way and goes back up. It will only close if I hold in the wall button.
Safety
photo eyes may be out of alignment. This happens if they are blocked by a snow shovel or broom for example. Located on the interior garage
door tracks near the bottom. Make sure that the beam of light is being
received from one side to the other. Clear the area and line up so
that there is a steady green light on the unit.
Lights
will not work.
Change
bulbs and use heavy duty light bulbs, check socket for proper wattage.
Remotes
will not work.
If the
operator works by the wall button, first check batteries, they may
need replacing. If not, the remotes may need to be re-programmed.
Check if lock button on wall control panel is on.
Reprogramming
remotes.
At
the back of the operator head there will be a smart button. It may
be red, yellow or green. You may have to remove a light cover, push
in the smart button then push your remote button, the door should open.
Do not hold the push button in as that action will clear all programming
and all remotes and keypads will have to be reprogrammed.
