  Behind every overhead door and operator that Dor-co carries is a customer focused company ready to provide top quality sales and service for a better price.
That's exactly the philosophy by which Jerry Cousineau opened his first shop in March of 1976, supplying to residential, commercial and industrial customers.
Today he and his Family are celebrating 25 years of success in the business.
  Cousineau, who began installing overhead doors for a competitor, "decided he could provide better service to customers looking for overhead doors," says Maureen Rudowicz, company office manager.
  In 1984 his operation grew and the location was no longer suitable so he moved to 5340 Brendan Lane, just around the corner. Steady growth continued with the addition of about two employees a year. Cousineau then purchased the building next door at 5330 Brendan Lane.
The showroom and commercial/industrial operation stayed at the initial location while the residential part expanded next door.

  In 1999 he also set up a second location in Chatham beginning with one salesman and one serviceman. Today he has a total of 30 full time employees at the main location in Oldcastle.  As the company continued to grow in personnel it also grew in the availability of quality products including various door operators, hollow metal doors, dock levellers and seals, movable wall partitions, truck doors and agricultural hardware.   In fact, Cousineau built up the business so well that his children Laura Jendroski and Michael Cousineau became part owners in July of 1999. Laura's title is Vice President and includes looking after accounts receivable while Michael acts as Secretary Treasurer, working out in the field most times.
  Always operating as a family oriented and employee focused business Cousineau, "Is very generous to his employees and knows how to keep them happy," says Rudowicz. "He offers special benefits and perks to everyone including an employee/employer pension plan. There is a summer party, a Christmas dinner for the employees and their spouses and a children's party that included a gift for everyone. He is considerate of his neighbours as well, by landscaping and building a walkway to the greenway path behind the building. In this way all neighbouring facilities can have easy access to their destination".

Residential customers can choose from Protégé model garage doors that feature CFC free insulation and are warranted for 'AS LONG AS YOU OWN YOUR HOME' Features include energy efficient insulation value R-Value, available in colonial, ranch or flush panels.
  Automatic garage door openers are also available to complete your garage entry system "designed to deliver long-term trouble free operation," according to Dor-co's Website ad material. For extra options a keyless entry system can be added to enhance security and safety. Several makes and models of standard doors are available, according to your budget requirements.

  Also, Dor-co specializes in Richard Wilcox sectional doors for commercial and industrial applications. They manufacture insulated Thermatite doors, in a tradition that "includes the latest Polyurethane technology.
Polyurethane's R-Value is by far the highest per inch of all competitive insulations besides providing superior adhesion and structural integrity."
  Other manufactured models include the Alumtite and Rolltite sectional overhead doors, with additional and more flexible features.
