On Monday, October 5, 2009, we had a service call scheduled for our garage door. About twenty (20) years ago your company installed our garage door and I must say that one (1) call in twenty years is excellent. Your service technician Dan Watson arrived and looked over the issue. I must say that it was an extreme pleasure to finally have someone come in and look over the situation and make the proper adjustments and repairs that were required. Dan was extremely efficient, pleasant and professional and I just wanted to take the time and commend him on his work.

Whereas the Mayor and Council of The Municipality of Chatham-Kent recognize the contribution that corporate citizens have made and are making to enhance the economic health of this community;

And whereas Dor-Co Garage Doors Ltd., Chatham, which is owned and operated by Jerry Cousineau and managed by Dave Tuson, commenced operations in 1976, providing products for industrial, commercial and residential applications;

And whereas the company's product line includes merchandise from companies such as Raynor, Richards-Wilcox and Liftmaster, and consists of overhead doors, truck doors and sliding barn door hardware to dock levellers, folding room dividers, PVC strip doors and much more;

And whereas the company, has celebrated over 25 years of success in the business, prides itself on providing top quality sales and service through a keen customer focus by its many hard-working and conscientious employees who are trained both in-house and by the manufacturers;

And whereas Dor-Co Garage Doors Ltd. was presented with the International Door COmpany of the Year award from the International Door Association in 2002;

And whereas the company maintains a family-orientated and employee-focused business with mechanisms in place to ensure that they keep their award-winning workforce happy;

And whereas during the last three years Dor-Co Garage Doors Ltd., Chatham, has seen tremendous growth, necessitating increasing their staff from five people to nine, and moving their operation to a much larger facility located at 689 Grand Avenue East in Chatham in May of 2003;
